摘要
[Abstract] This paper proposes a new method to compute capacity utilization in China. The main idea of the method is to employ electrical usage as a measure of capital services in the computation of capital utilization. We supply this idea to two models of production: the Leotief production function and the Cobb-Dauglass production function with the data of 1980-1999. We find that the Leotief production function will give better result when computing the capacity utilization in China.
